Video surveillance equipment
Friday, 29 August 2008
Rail systems place extreme demands on video surveillance equipment.   Electronics must be robust, and capable of for working for many years with only very short maintenance windows (typically a few hours in 24, in the middle of the night).   These systems must also work in enclosed, safety critical spaces so that EMC requirements and electrical characteristics must be carefully designed and managed within tight constraints.   Safety concerns often also require different software which runs to higher fail-safe standards.   COE has built experience over more than a decade supplying rail users around the world both track side systems, platform systems and on-train surveillance system.
