We currently supply people to both Network Rail for maintenance and to major suppliers working on infrastructure renewals. Commitment to Safety We are more committed than ever to our safety performance. SkyBlue people have an exceptional track record when it comes to delivering safety, quality and efficiency on the railways. All our Rail staff will arrive at site fully equipped with PPE: this will comprise of orange reflective jacket and trousers or similar, ensuring complete covering head to foot, as well as the compulsory wearing of helmets gloves and eye protection. Head lamps are supplied for use during hours of darkness. All SkyBlue Rail people have a minimum of PTS, and the majority have further qualifications, from crane controllers to ES as well as being competent in the use of various small tools used within the industry. As we are committed to improving safety, it is our intention to up-skill the workforce by commencing an NVQ program for all track workers, supervisors and managers. All track workers will progress to a minimum NVQ level 2 in Railway Engineering. All supervisors and managers will aspire to NVQ level 3 linked to a Track Charge Man Training course. More mobile All our gangs will travel to site in one of the SkyBlue fleet of vehicles. Each van is equipped with a variety of hand tools with some of the vehicles also kitted out with messing facilities. SkyBlue gangs can be made up to suit our customers needs, however a standard gang would be be made up as follows: • Employed Team Leader • 1 COSS • 2 Leading Trackman • 5 Skilled Trackmen London Underground Ltd SkyBlue London Underground have a specialised team supplying key workers and staff to London Uunderground Limited.We are able to supply experienced Protection Masters and SPCs during Engineering hours, all of which have undertaken mentored shifts and have worked in various complex areas throughout the London Underground Network. We are also able to supply experienced track gangs with experience of renewals, sleeper changing and maintenance. Our fully trained and competent team of Safety Critical staff hold a variety of additional competencies to work during Engineering hours such as Train Master, Track and Depot Competent, Track Trolley Master, Fire-watch Person, First Aid At Work, Passport for Safety and Pasma training. Our Rail (light and heavy) team are able to supply safety critical staff ranging from Lookout to Engineering Supervisor. We also have a database of Track Inducted Associates with skills ranging from troughing through all aspects of maintenance and renewals. All of our Associates hold several small tools competencies and are supplied with a full kit of Gore-Tex PPE. If you have specific tools/skills you would like an Associate to hold, we can source or tailor the correct training.
